私は切絵作家であり、グラフィックデザイナーです。
風景や記憶、土地に宿る時間を、視覚表現として残すことを大切にしています。
切絵は、削ぎ落としながら本質を浮かび上がらせる表現です。
グラフィックデザインは、想いや課題を整理し、伝わるかたちへと導くことです。
私はこの二つの領域を行き来しながら、
「表現すること」と「伝えること」、そして「未来に残すこと」に向き合っています。
企業や地域、個人のプロジェクトにおいても、
一時的な装飾ではなく、時間とともに意味を深めていくデザインを目指しています。
目に見える美しさだけでなく、
背景にある物語や意図まで丁寧に汲み取り、
本質的な価値をかたちにしていきます。
2024年元旦に発生した能登半島地震では、故郷で被災し避難生活を送りました。
発災以降の一連の出来事と体験は一つの区切りとして現在の活動にも影響を与えており、

I am a paper-cut artist and also graphic designer based in Tokyo.
My work centers on expressing and preserving landscapes, memories, and the quiet passage of time through visual form.
Paper-cut art allows me to reveal essence through reduction — shaping meaning through lines and space.
Graphic design enables me to clarify ideas and transform intentions into communication.
Moving between these two disciplines, I focus on expression, communication, and preservation.
Whether working with companies, communities, or individuals,
I aim to create designs that grow in meaning over time — not just decoration, but work with depth and purpose.
Beyond visual beauty, I value the stories and intentions behind each project,
and strive to give them a thoughtful and lasting form.

グラフィックデザイン専攻、イラストレーション課程修了。切絵を得意とした作風で学内コンテスト入賞歴複数。在学中に恩師の推薦によりグラフィックデザイナーDavid Lance Goines氏の元に師事。
I majored in graphic design and completed the illustration course. I specialize in paper cutting and have won multiple awards in campus poster contests. During my time at university, I was recommended by my teacher to study under graphic designer David Lance Goines.

私は幸運にも、アメリカのアーティスト、カリグラファー、版画家、タイポグラファー、印刷起業家、そして作家であるDavid Lance Goines氏の元で学ぶ機会を得ることができました。彼のスタジオに通い、デザインレイアウトや色彩、レタープレス印刷を学びました。彼は日本の浮世絵や文化にも、造詣が深く、幅広い知識や歴史の話などを聞きながら過ごしたランチタイムが印象的です。2023年に彼は他界してしまいました。今思えば、当時全てを学ぶには短い期間だったことが悔やまれます。
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study under David Lance Goines, an American artist, calligrapher, printmaker, typographer, printing entrepreneur, and author. I attended his studio and learned about design layout, color, and letterpress printing. He had a deep knowledge of Japanese ukiyo-e and culture, and I remember fondly the lunchtimes we spent listening to his wide-ranging knowledge and historical stories. He passed away in 2023. Looking back, I regret that the time I spent there was too short to learn everything he taught me.
